We have joined forces with Podspike to create Promo Club - a free and 100% unofficial fringe event
Created to help independent brands and creators, Promo Club will take place on Wednesday 24th May at 7pm at a venue close to the Business Design Centre. The event is free but tickets are mandatory and will be issued on a first come first served basis in advance.
Speakers include Arielle Nissenblatt, SquadCast FM & founder of The EarBuds Podcast Collective, Emily Crosby of Emily Crosby Media, Podspike CEO Dan Page and Distorted’s Head of Marketing Becky Lamb-Pritchard.
Distorted’s Becky Lamb-Pritchard said, “we are thrilled to be hosting this event and can’t wait to talk podcast promotion. ‘How do I reach new listeners?’ is one of the most common questions podcasters ask me and I hope this event helps creators build their marketing plans and their podcast network. Podcasting is all about community and we hope this evening reflects that.”
Podspike’s CEO Dan Page said, “I’m really excited to be working with Becky and the team at Distorted on this fringe event - it can be tough for indie podcasters to cut through, so our hope is that by starting Promo Club we can offer impactful advice and opportunities in a relaxed environment. Oh and did we mention there’ll be free pizza?”
After a full day of panels and learning we are inviting independent brands, businesses & creators to join us for an informal evening. Inspired by the success of last year's Bad Podcasters Club, guests can network, make new podcast friends and find cross-promotional partners over pizza and drinks, plus get 1-2-1 advice from Becky, Arielle, Dan and Emily.
This is a free ticketed event hosted by Podspike and Distorted for independent podcasters and audio creatives.

A larger kitchen reno can relocate sinks and appliances when the existing layout significantly limits functionality.
Loving this collab between Distorted and Podspike! Promo Club sounds like a great free way for indie creators to get their shows noticed. We have been using wave rider to track our promo results and pairing it with tools like this is a big win for podcasters. Count me in for the fringe event!
